134. 100 Encouraging Bible Verses


The Word of God is full of encouraging verses that give us hope and strength for every situation we’re in.  Whether you’ve found yourself struggling with your relationships, laid off from a job, struggling with work, struggling with family or friends, nervous about an upcoming test, or even a project presentation at work, I’d encourage you to turn to these encouraging Bible verses.

There are over 100 listed here, so I’m sure you can read through one that resonates with your situation!

My 20 Absolute Favorite Encouraging Bible Verses

As I read through each of these verses, I pulled twenty encouraging scriptures that really stood out to me as inspiring.  Here they are in order of where they are in the Bible.

Psalm 23:4  Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 34:8  Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

Psalm 34:19  The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;

Psalm 37:4  Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 55:22  Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Psalm 90:17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.

Psalm 103:2-6  Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 119:105  Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Psalm 121:1-2  I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD,  the Maker of heaven and earth.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 16:3  Commit to the LORD whatever you do,  and he will establish your plans.

Proverbs 18:10  The name of the LORD is a fortified tower;  the righteous run to it and are safe.

Isaiah 40:31  but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Matthew 11:28  Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Deuteronomy 7:9

Encouraging Verses in the New Testament

Matthew 6:25-26  Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Revelation 14:12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.
